Job Description

IT Infrastructure Management: The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, and software applications. This involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Network Administration: The System Administrator oversees the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity. They configure network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure secure and efficient data transmission. They also monitor network performance, diagnose network issues, and implement solutions to resolve problems and optimize network performance.

System Security: The System Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's IT systems and data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and security breaches. This includes implementing firewall rules, access controls, encryption, antivirus software, and other security measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

User Account Management: The System Administrator manages user accounts, permissions, and access rights to IT systems and resources. They create, modify, and delete user accounts as per organizational requirements and ensure that user privileges are appropriately assigned and revoked to maintain data integrity and security.

Backup and Recovery: The System Administrator implements and manages data backup and recovery procedures to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures, disasters, or other emergencies. They schedule regular backups, test backup procedures, and restore data as needed to minimize downtime and data loss.

Software Installation and Maintenance: The System Administrator installs, upgrades, and maintains software applications, patches, and updates across the organization's IT environment. They ensure that software licenses are properly managed and that software installations comply with licensing agreements and organizational policies.

Technical Support: The System Administrator provides technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting IT-related issues, resolving technical problems, and providing guidance on the use of IT systems and applications. They respond to help desk tickets, escalate complex issues as needed, and ensure timely resolution of user issues to minimize disruptions to business operations.

Documentation and Reporting: The System Administrator maintains accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. They prepare reports on system performance, security incidents, and other IT-related metrics for management review and decision-making.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: The System Administrator monitors system performance, analyzes resource utilization, and identifies capacity bottlenecks to ensure scalability and optimal performance of IT systems. They recommend hardware and software upgrades, optimizations, and enhancements to meet evolving business needs and technology requirements.

Compliance and Governance: The System Administrator ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing IT security, data privacy, and system operations. They participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to assess and mitigate risks and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

Experience: 3years and above

Good And relevant experience in security is highly preferred.
