Senior Accountant

Financial Reporting: The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. They ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

General Ledger Management: The Senior Accountant oversees the maintenance of the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing account balances. They ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting principles.

Financial Analysis: The Senior Accountant conducts financial analysis to assess the organization's financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management for decision-making. This may involve variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.

Budgeting and Forecasting: The Senior Accountant assists in the development of annual budgets and forecasts by providing financial data, analyzing trends, and identifying areas for cost savings or revenue generation. They monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management.

Internal Controls: The Senior Accountant establishes and maintains internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. They may conduct internal audits and reviews to assess control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Tax Compliance: The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, coordinating with external tax advisors, and staying informed about changes in tax legislation. They may also assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities.

Financial Systems Management: The Senior Accountant manages financial systems and software applications used for accounting and financial reporting purposes. They ensure that systems are properly configured, maintained, and updated to support the organization's needs.

Financial Risk Management: The Senior Accountant assesses financial risks and develops strategies to mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, interest rates, credit exposure, and other factors. They may recommend hedging strategies or risk mitigation measures to protect the organization's financial interests.

Team Leadership and Training: In some organizations, the Senior Accountant may supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional development and performance.

Advisory Role: The Senior Accountant serves as a trusted advisor to management, providing financial insights, recommendations, and guidance on strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business opportunities.

Experience: 3 years and above in construction company.
