ROLLING STOCK OVERHAUL SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Job Function:
The Rolling Stock Overhaul Senior Technician is responsible for leading and performing overhaul activities on rolling stock equipment, ensuring that maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Reports To: Rolling Stock Overhaul Shift Supervisor

Supervisory Duties:
The Rolling Stock Overhaul Senior Technician leads an overhaul team of two or three technicians while performing overhaul activity on the train and provides technical guidance and mentorship to those technicians.

Main Duties:

• Lead and perform overhaul activities, including disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and
testing of rolling stock equipment.
• Ensure that overhaul tasks are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with established
procedures and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and
problem-solving as needed.
• Assist the supervisors and engineers in the development of overhaul procedures, work
instructions, and training programs.
• Conduct inspections of overhaul workstations, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with
safety regulations and housekeeping standards and align with his supervisor for any support needed.
• Maintain accurate records of overhaul work, including checklists and documentation of
inspections, repairs, and testing results with the help of his working technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of
overhaul operation.
• Able to work on shift roster plan.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in rolling stock maintenance or overhaul.
• Strong technical knowledge of rolling stock equipment, systems, and components.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance
manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal.
skills.
• Good ability to communicate in English in all aspects: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Is in good physical condition.

• Should have valid transferrable IQAMA.
