Field Procurement Officer
Job Description:
The Field Procurement Officer is responsible for managing all on-ground procurement
activities, ensuring the timely delivery and setting up of goods and services to support
projects and events. This role bridges the gap between procurement planning and on-
site execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, addressing operational needs,
and maintaining vendor relationships during project implementation.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate on-site delivery and distribution of goods, materials, and services,
ensuring they meet specifications and deadlines.
Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, address delays, and ensure
compliance with agreements.
Supervise the setup and availability of required services, such as cleaning staff,
maintenance crews, and equipment.
Verify deliveries against purchase orders to confirm quality and quantity
standards.
Track on-site procurement expenses, ensuring alignment with project budgets
and reporting any discrepancies.
Maintain records of on-site procurement activities, including deliveries and
communications.
Develop and implement contingency planning for supply chain disruptions or
urgent needs.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure procurement tasks align with project
timelines.
Support inventory management during and after the project, ensuring excess
materials are returned or reused.
Provide updates to the Procurement Officer or Manager on progress and
challenges.
Qualifications:
Preferably a Sudanese citizen with a transferable Iqama.
2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project coordination,
preferably in events or exhibitions.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Familiarity with procurement or inventory software is a plus.
Flexibility to travel and work on-site as needed.
Native Arabic speaker with conversational English skills.
