Fir Fighting Technician

• Perform periodic preventive maintenance on fire-fighting systems, including fire pumps, sprinkler systems, deluge systems, fire hose
cabinets, fire hydrants, and alarm check valves.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the proper functioning of all components.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of testing and inspection procedures for all fire-fighting system components.
• Conduct regular tests to identify potential issues and ensure system reliability.
• Assume the role of a team leader and coordinate with other team members.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Report to the designated engineer, providing regular updates on maintenance activities, testing results, and system conditions.
• Document all inspections and maintenance procedures accurately.
• Take prompt and suitable action in case of emergencies, such as water leakage or system malfunctions.
• Implement corrective measures to address immediate threats and prevent further damage.
• Maintain effective communication with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns.
• Provide clear and concise updates on maintenance schedules, inspections, and emergency responses.
• Prepare detailed reports based on inspections and maintenance activities.
• Document findings, recommendations, and any corrective actions taken during the maintenance process.
• Demonstrate proficiency in corrective maintenance and repair procedures.
• Identify issues during inspections and take appropriate measures to rectify them, ensuring the optimal functionality of fire-fighting systems.
• Create lists of required materials and fittings for both repair and new installation works.
• Maintain an organized inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
• Relevant technical certification or equivalent experience in fire-fighting systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire pump operations, sprinkler systems, deluge systems, fire hose cabinets, fire hydrants, and alarm check valves.
• Leadership and teamwork skills.
