Responsibilities:
• Conduct safety inspections and audits: Regularly assess the workplace for potential hazards, identify unsafe work practices, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents: Analyze the root cause of incidents, recommend corrective actions, and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
• Monitor the use of PPE: Ensure employees are wearing the correct PPE for their tasks and that the equipment is in good working condition.
• Maintain safety records and documentation: Document inspections, audits, incidents, and training activities.
• Stay informed of current safety regulations and best practices: Attend industry conferences, workshops, and participate in continuing education programs.
• Collaborate with plant management and other departments: Work with management to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of plant operations, and collaborate with other departments like engineering and maintenance to address safety concerns.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in a safety role, preferably within the petrochemical & Oil industries.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for the petrochemical industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of petrochemical processes and equipment.
• Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections in a petrochemical environment.
