CNC Operator

Job Description:

• Ensure that all CNC works are executed safely on time.
• Understand 2D Engineering shop drawings.
• Verify tolerances and check machined parts against the 2D Drawings to ensure
quality.
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining
quality.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
• Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs.
• Maintain toolbox as per the standard and report any shortages of tools or
consumables to the production supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as
fixtures, cutting feed, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools to be used.
• Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls,
setting tools, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance
to requirements.
• Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine
dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
• Ensure the proper utilization of equipment and material
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and reflects the latest revision.
• Use measuring tools and gauges to ensure quality of product.
• Report unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment, accidents, and
inquiries to supervisor.

Requirement:

• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years working as CNC operator.
• Knowledge of OSP or Fanuc Controller.
• Must have an ability to read engineering drawings.
• Have a knowledge of machines, hand tools and power tools needed.
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Have good computer skills
