Draftsman (Architectural)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Architectural Draftsman who is passionate about translating design concepts into detailed drawings and plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural drafting, with proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software. The Architectural Draftsman will work closely with architects and engineers to produce accurate and comprehensive drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with architects and designers to develop schematic drawings, design development drawings, and construction documents for architectural projects.
Create detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, such as renderings and 3D models, to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
Review and interpret architectural drawings, sketches, and specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency with project requirements.
Coordinate with other members of the project team, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to integrate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Conduct site visits and surveys as needed to gather information and verify existing conditions for drafting purposes.
Maintain organized files and records of architectural drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in architectural drafting, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet project milestones.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the successful completion of architectural projects.
