PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for our projects. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the procurement process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms.
Familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
Ability to identify cost reductions opportunities
Holding expertise in understanding technical requirements and specifications through project documents.
Proven professional experience in procurement engineering and handling multiple aspects of the project for its successful execution.
Remarkable verbal and written skills to handle organizational interactions with suppliers, clients, and employees.
Reviews / assesses technical specification and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers.
Ensures that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
Negotiates the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of integrity.
Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Vendors and Suppliers.Knowledge in operations, services and activities of a procurement administration program.Knowledge in principles and practices of materials management and inventory control.Knowledge on Building Specifications and Bill of Quantities.Knowledge of Contract Law.Negotiation Skills.Knowledge in applicable financial computer software applications.Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
