The Storekeeper Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in a warehouse or storeroom. They ensure the accuracy of inventory records and supervise a team of storekeepers to maintain a well-organized and efficient storage system.
Job Responsibility:
- Manage and supervise a team of storekeepers to ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of materials
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and ensure items are stored in the designated locations
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Implement and enforce safety and security procedures to protect inventory and prevent loss
- Train and mentor storekeepers on best practices for inventory management and warehouse operations
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory, deliveries, or storage conditions
