Required - 10 HSE Officers
Safety Officer Eligibility and Job Description:
Safety Officers shall be fluent in spoken and written English and have at least five years of experience specific to the contract scope of work with previous experiences and approval certificates as evidence.
Formal Safety Training and Internationally recognized Safety Certification like NEBOSH IGC are mandatory requirements.
Previous experience of working with Saudi Aramco as a client is a must. Safety Officer must have required onshore & Offshore experience. Safety Officer shall possess valid Swimming assessment training (OPITO Approved)
Safety officers shall visibly demonstrate the priority of safety in all activities, including setting a good personal example. Safety Officer shall be accountable for the following:
1. Physical verification of the prevalence of safe working conditions at the site always and to stop unsafe work and ensure immediate corrective actions.
2. Understand the Client’s safety and health requirements and those as per contractual scope of work.
3. Assist HSES and Site management in adhering to and flawlessly implementing CSSP, HIP, EMP, ERP, WMP, HEP, Fire PP, Fall PP, SSE, and Work Permit System, among other contractor HSE MS procedures.
4. Communicate safety rules, JSAs and standards to the contractor and subcontractor workforce.
5. Inspect the work site daily, report any unsafe acts/conditions to the supervisor and/or foreman, provide recommendations to correct deficiencies and follow up to ensure corrective actions have been taken.
6. Ensure weekly inspections of site LSA, and FFA by competent domain engineers.
7. Ensure inspections of tools, equipment, power tools, PPE, Paint/chemical store, fabrication workshop, hot work booths, slings, safety harnesses, scaffolds, DG sets, and power distribution panels, are conducted by the concerned domain engineer in their presence and findings corrected on time and documented.
8. Involve site medic, vessel chief officer/ Site management rep, in weekly hygiene inspections and ensure timely closeout of corrective actions by following up with the concerned person.
9. Participate, document and track Safety action close out in incident investigations, safety management committee, SIMOP discussion meetings, Rig move meetings (for offshore locations only), safety meetings, drills, etc., and conduct safety training sessions, safety stand-downs, and safety alert communication. Follow up with respective stakeholders for timely closeout of incident investigation findings and document and disseminate the lessons learnt to all stakeholders.
10. Conduct daily toolbox talks, ad hoc safety stand-downs, and assist HSES in daily, weekly, -and monthly HSE Meetings.
11. Assist HSES in rolling out Safety campaigns like Heat Stress campaigns, Hand Injury prevention, dropped object prevention campaigns etc. and ensuring fruitful involvement and participation from site staff.
