Education, skills and experience

Higher Secondary School and Authenticated diploma / license certifying candidate as an Electrician
Minimum 5 years’ experience of working independently as an Electrician in an organization similar to the size of SABIC (power feed capacity = 16 megawatts)
Previously worked on high voltage transformers, RMUs and industrial grade substations
Previous exposure and understanding of back- up generators and modern ups systems
Ability to review, create and understand line drawings of power distribution
Ability to measure circuit power load and determine capacity
Ability and understanding of making load calculations.
Ability to transfer and re-distribute power load.
Shall be safety oriented and inclined to safe working practices.
Multi-skilled – capable of working on electronic audio/visual equipment
Has the ability of driving and driving license.
Previous experience of working on high grade kitchen equipment
Familiar with Electrical isolation and lockout procedures
Knowledge of electrical spare parts and branded

Basic Function

To ensure O and M of all electrical systems at SABIC HQ and SABIC Dessert Camp. To independently carry out jobs pertaining to the above areas and to assist in all other disciplines of O and M as assigned by his Superiors
O and M of 16 megawatts substation, high voltage transformers, ring main units, emergency generators, and modern UPS systems
Ensure safe, secure and uninterrupted power requirements throughout the facilities.
Maintenance of power distribution panels, breakers, cables, outlets, switches, lighting, ballasts, fuses, etc.
Assess and create building electrical designs and load calculations.
Correct and create all types of wiring diagram (single-line, ladder and point to point wiring diagram).
Trouble shoot, recommend corrective actions, and understand priorities
Replace busted lights and ballasts, installation of light fixtures in modified offices, provide new power requirements “as required and approved” basis.
Preventive maintenance of all Electrical Systems.
Inventory of Electrical materials.
Knowledge of dimming system.
