CHILLER PLANT Operator & Maintenance: 01 Vacancy

Education, skills and experience
Higher Secondary School and Authenticated diploma / license certifying candidate as a HVAC/R Technician
Minimum 3 years’ experience of working independently as a HVAC/R Technician in an organization similar to the size of SABIC (total chiller capacity = 440tons X 6 units)
Previously worked on water-cooled chillers, thermal storage systems and refrigerated food services equipment
Previous exposure and understanding of BMS system
Ability to review and understand drawings of ducting and air distribution
Ability to measure cooling air volume required as a result of heat generated from equipment in certain areas.
Shall be safety oriented and inclined to safe working practices
Multi-skilled – capable of handling general electrical related work
Previous experience of working on York brand chillers
Familiar with VAV systems
Knowledge of HVAC spare parts and branded

Basic Function
To ensure O and M of all HVAC/R systems at the SABIC Complex.
O and M of York Water-cooled screw type 440-ton chillers, thermal storage system, ice banks, heat exchanger system, primary and secondary pumps, air-handling units, fixed and flexible ducting, VAV systems, package units, split and window a/c units, ventilating systems, exhaust fans, food services refrigeration equipment, drinking water fountains, etc.
To independently carry out jobs pertaining to the above areas and to assist in all other disciplines of O and M as assigned by his Superiors. (Included job function in the GS job family Model).
New HVAC/R requirements on “as-required and approved” basis.
Ability to troubleshoot, recommend corrective action, and understand priorities Enroll and cover shift duty for chiller plant and main building as per need.
Contacts all levels in the department up to Section Head level.
Contacts all other departments in the Company as needed on the provision of services. Interfaces with supplier’s and vendors on contracted services.
