Hiring: System Administrator
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible to hold a primary role as an administrator of IT systems which can be both on-premise and cloud, this will include maintaining company's network, servers, security, and telecommunication / information systems.
Responsibilities:
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
• Carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions and equipment
• Managing backup and security • Maintain and administer Web server and middleware tools
• Investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting usage stats
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity, availability and performance of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary
• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
• Provide Tier 2, Tier 3 and other support per request from. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems
• Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
• Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products
• Operate and maintain company’s telecommunication infrastructure; telephones and systems
• Analyze, define, and implement application product changes to TOPSS
• Provide application enhancements, maintenance, and support for assigned systems, including security and accessibility.
• Partner with business users to evaluate, select, and implement 3 rd party tools as needed
• Partner with business users to understand business processes and requirements, translate them into application requirements, develop and implement system solutions that improve efficiencies, maximize customer experience, and grow and retain business
• Ensure on time, on budget, and on specification delivery of software solutions
• Actively monitor and respond to technical software problems utilizing necessary software testing tools and techniques, assist in managing overall system capacity
• Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems
• Communicate with business users within all levels of the organization
• Work with geographically distributed team members, users, and customers

Experience:

5+ years of demonstrated experience in the IT field who has hands on experience in systems administration, and software implementation, development, testing and deployment.
