Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with 5-8 years of experience, specifically in substation construction and commissioning, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards and substantial experience working on SEC projects.
The candidate should be skilled in electrical drawing interpretation, participating in SEC-related inspections, and coordinating with suppliers like Siemens and ABB on technology and project clarifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Substation Construction & Commissioning: Lead the electrical and instrumentation aspects of substation construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with SEC standards.
• Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex electrical drawings and ensure they meet project and SEC requirements.
• Inspections: Actively participate in owner and SEC-related inspections, ensuring all construction and commissioning activities are aligned with SEC regulations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Organize and participate in technical and clarification meetings with key suppliers such as Siemens, ABB, and SEC, addressing all project-specific issues related to technology, construction, and commissioning.
• Technical Clarifications: Provide clarification on any electrical or instrumentation issues that arise during the construction and commissioning phases, working closely with suppliers and SEC representatives.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, commissioning processes, and technical meetings.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in substation construction, commissioning, and working with SEC standards.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEC standards and their application in substation projects.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
o Experience in working with suppliers like Siemens, ABB, and coordinating with SEC.
o Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in commissioning and construction phases.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers, SEC representatives, and project stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with other international electrical and instrumentation standards.
• Experience in large-scale substation projects.
