Electrical Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician with expertise in medium voltage (MV) electrical systems, who is knowledgeable in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motors, drives, and the installation and testing of electrical cables. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in the Gulf region and must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

a. Installation, testing, and maintenance of medium voltage electrical systems.
b. Expertise in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motors, and drives.
c. Installation and testing of electrical cables, including:
c.1 Insulation Resistance (IR) testing.
c.2 Continuity testing.
d. Troubleshooting and repair of MV systems and components.
e. Interpret and work from electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
f. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

a. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
b. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Gulf region, working on medium voltage systems.
c. Expertise in VFDs, motors, drives, and cables.
d. Strong knowledge of testing procedures (IR tests, continuity tests, etc.).
e. Familiar with safety protocols and electrical standards in the Gulf region.
f. Transferable Iqama is a must.
h. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
i. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
