Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for laminating GRP/GRE
production procedures, in accordance
specifications laid down to produce quality
the scheduling department / foreman.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description Performance Indicators
Lamination
Receives the required glass kit from the storekeeper / raw material
controller as per the recipe and prepares the resin to ensure that
the proper material is used as per the requirement.
Laminates the required item as per the production procedure to
ensure uniformity of produced items.
KOI Audits results
Production work flow
Informs the assistant foreman of the daily out-put status to e
schedules are met
Informs the assistant foreman of any accidents, problems,
mistakes, or non-conformities he faces during production for
accurate reporting.
Audit of compliance to operational
procedures and instructions.
Policies & Procedures:
Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so the
work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Guides his assistants
Gives his assistants the details of the job they need to execute and
sets the expected duration to do their job.
Cleanliness / Safety
Ensures that his area is kept clean at all times to comply with
housekeeping regulations.
Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control
procedures and instructions so that personal safety/the safety of
others is not jeopardised and a minimum level of product/service
quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
JOB CONTEXT:
Responsible for laminating spools and fittings as per the highlighted schedule based on the received shop floor
drawing.
Receives the required item from the assistant foreman and laminates the same
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
The jobholder has no financial decision-making authority.
The jobholder’s decision is relevant to the work that is responsible for. For matters that are beyond the
jobholder’s authority, the superior should be consulted.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Education
Minimum Experience:
12-18 months
Job-Specific Skills:
Knowledge of raw material types
Knowledge of milled glass preparation / usage
Knowledge of lamination types
Knowledge of lamination procedures
Generic Skills:
Honesty, dedication, leadership
