Linguistic Translator (Arabic To English To Arabic) - For Consultancy Firm

We are looking for a highly experienced and fluent Arabic-English Translator to join our consultancy firm, specializing in audit engagements and compliance audits. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of professional translation experience, with a strong background in translating technical documents related to financial audits, regulatory compliance, legal frameworks, and corporate governance. You will be responsible for translating a wide variety of audit reports, compliance documents, policies, and regulatory material between Arabic and English, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Audit & Compliance Document Translation:
o Translate complex financial audit reports, compliance manuals, regulatory filings, internal control documents, and other specialized content from Arabic to English and vice versa.
o Ensure that all translations maintain the original tone, intent, and accuracy of the source content, particularly in legal and regulatory language.
• Proofreading & Editing:
o Review and edit translated documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity in compliance with audit standards and financial regulations.
o Ensure all audit terminologies and compliance terms are properly translated, reflecting the appropriate industry-specific language.
• Industry-Specific Expertise:
o Understand and apply audit-related terminologies, financial terms, and regulatory frameworks to ensure that translated documents are aligned with the legal and professional requirements of the audit and compliance industry.
o Collaborate with auditors and compliance professionals to ensure proper interpretation and context of audit-related documentation.
• Maintain Confidentiality:
o Handle sensitive financial and compliance information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. It is important to sign an NDA as you will be working on client premises on highly confidential data.

Key Requirements:
• Experience:
o Minimum of 8 - 6 years of professional translation experience, with a focus on audit, financial or compliance-related documents.
o Prior experience working within or translating for consultancy firms, audit firms, financial institutions, or regulatory bodies is highly preferred.
• Language Skills:
o Fluency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both languages.
o Strong understanding of the audit and compliance terminologies used in both Arabic and English.
• Industry Knowledge:
o In-depth understanding of audit practices, financial regulations, and compliance standards, including knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local regulatory frameworks.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in using translation tools and software such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar.
o Familiarity with audit management systems and financial software is a plus.
• Attention to Detail:
o Ability to produce high-quality, accurate translations with close attention to detail, especially in regulatory and compliance contexts.
• Time Management & Deadlines:
o Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines, especially in fast-paced audit environments.
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
o Professional translation certifications (e.g., ATA certification) are a plus.

• Experience in translating documents related to financial audits, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Familiarity with regulatory documents from regional authorities (e.g., CMA, SAMA, DIFC).
• Previous work experience with consultancy or audit firms such as the Big Four or similar firms is a plus.
