Mechanical Cost Estimator – Jubail

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Cost Estimator to prepare cost estimates for mechanical systems and equipment used in construction, industrial maintenance, and related projects. The candidate will analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, machinery, and equipment for industrial and construction projects.
• Review Documentation: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation to determine the scope of work and estimate accurate costs.
• Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the procurement, engineering, and project management teams to develop bids and proposals based on cost estimates.
• Material & Labor Calculation: Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure the accuracy of project bids and budget planning.
• Vendor Coordination: Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors and evaluate them to align with the project’s financial expectations.
• Cost Analysis: Perform risk analysis and establish contingency costs based on project complexity and potential challenges.
• Historical Data Review: Utilize historical data to enhance the accuracy of cost estimates for similar projects.
• Project Tracking: Track and compare actual costs with estimates to improve future estimates and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and other cost-related documents and create reports as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum [5] years of experience in mechanical cost estimating within the construction or industrial sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Excel, etc.), and understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on accuracy in cost assessments.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify cost risks and provide solutions for complex projects.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, construction practices, and project management.
