Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Industrial Construction

Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of electrical systems within industrial construction projects, including design, execution, and handover. This role requires expertise in electrical design and calculations, coordination with clients and consultants, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have 5–6 years of experience in electrical engineering, including team and site management.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and Approval:
o Prepare and review electrical designs and drawings.
o Develop load schedules and perform calculations for voltage drop, lighting, and containment systems.
o Coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers for submissions, approvals, and material selection.
• Site Supervision and Execution:
o Oversee the implementation of electrical systems on-site, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
o Supervise and manage the on-site electrical team to maintain progress and quality.
o Conduct inspections to ensure proper installation and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordination and Reporting:
o Collaborate with clients and consultants by attending meetings and providing progress updates.
o Prepare reports, including progress reviews, daily updates, and handover documentation.
• Handover and Completion:
o Ensure the successful completion and commissioning of electrical systems.
o Oversee the testing and final handover of electrical works to the client.
Core Expertise
• Preparing load schedules and selecting panel boards in coordination with suppliers.
• Performing lighting designs, lux calculations, and selecting appropriate fixtures.
• Designing and supervising power distribution systems, including sockets and LV cables.
• Expertise in HVAC systems, DDC, lightning protection, and earthing.
• Designing and implementing low-current systems:
o Data networks, telephone, access control, CCTV, SMATV, and public address systems.
• Proficiency in fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
Experience
• 7–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, including industrial construction projects.
Key Skills
• Proficiency in electrical design, calculations, and drafting.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Excellent team management and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with design tools and software for electrical engineering.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
