Mechanical Sales Engineer to work in Bahrain / Only applicants residing in Bahrain and transferrable applicants need to apply (Please do not send your CVs if you are not a resident of Bahrain)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Generating and qualifying sales leads using direct sales techniques including visiting, telemarketing,
and cold calling.
2. Responding to sales inquiries promptly and developing leads into sales opportunities.
3. Maintaining records of all sales calls including visit reports.
4. Identifying and developing new business opportunities in line with company’s strategies and goals.
5. Responsible for representing the product professionally to customers and at field events such as
conferences, seminars, etc.
6. Preparing offers, quotations and customers follow up.
7. Involved in tender documents analysis from tender documents purchase to final stages of tender
submittal including:
a) Studying tender specification and Boq and finding out misconceptions committed and contacting
the tender authority for clarification.
b) Contacting local manufacturers and suppliers, sending them the specifications, requesting
quotations, regularly following with them for rock bottom and competitive prices.
c) Differentiating / sifting proposal and quotes, comparing the specifications provided by the
suppliers with that of the gov. / const. specifications and selecting the best quotes, forwarding for
the approval.
d) Arranging and finalizing the tender documents providing required support for data filling up,
getting ready of required legal and financial papers and finalizing the bid package.
e) Upon bid awarding, coordinating with the suppliers and manufacturers regarding materials
availability, arranging the payment through wire transfer, cheques, cash or letter of credit.
f) Checking with transporting agents for best transportation prices, comparing different quotes and
finalizing with best agent for fastest consignment movement and delivery.
g) Contacting local clearing agents arranging for them required documents or clearance purpose,
following with them regularly in order to avoid the demurrages and unnecessary delay.
h) After materials submitted to the customer, coordinate in regards to payment and cheque
collection.
i) Making contribution sheet to visualize our profit for the concerned tenders after deducting all
expenses made for that.

l) Preparation of export documents like certificates of Origin, re-exporting certificates, backing list
and dispatch notes
8. Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing
client potential in designated regions
9. Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their
requirements.
10. Preparing sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and
engineering application trends.11. Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts.
12. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
13. Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required.
14. Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects.
15. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.
16. Managing the existing customer base and identifying growth opportunities while maintaining
Profitability in keeping with corporate goals and objectives.
17. Supporting branch team work, preparing daily and weekly reports.
18. Assist customers to properly select the best solution for their application through gaining a clear
19. Understanding of their businesses requirements. Establish and maintain good working relationships
with them to encourage repeat and referral business.
20. Communicating with clients to improve and develop business relationships cordially, in addition to
maintain constant follow-up on their feedback.
21. Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
22. Work with technical office team to manage service sales fulfillment.
23. Establishing and maintaining and relationships with existing and new customers.
24. Maintaining sales forecasting and lost opportunities reports.
25. Preparing detailed reports of weekly activity including call reports and expense reports.
26. Identifying trends in the market. Monitor and provide regular feedback about competitor activities,
market trends and lost sales.
27. Executing strategic selling activities & SWOT analysis for key accounts and sales leads.
28. Follow up and develop our portfolio of consultants and engineering offices in the assigned territory.
29. Studying the technical requirements of customers and select the proper generating set.
30. Preparing the technical submittal and financial offer.
31. Attending to technical questions of clients.
32. Preparing forecasting, sold and lost sales reports.
33. Gathering information about competitors and its performance and identifying what the market
needs.
34. Maintaining the PR with existing & prospective customers and develop new clients for company
products or services.
35. Preparing and delivering technical presentations on applications to customers on power point etc.
36. Pre-qualification, bid preparation and negotiations with major clients.
37. Prospecting the assigned market segment, generating leads, increasing the pipeline of prospective
clients and forecasting the sales for the monthly / quarterly / yearly.
38. Providing pre-sales technical assistance, supporting marketing activities and solving client issues.
39. Formulating sales goals, marketing plans and strategy and directs their Execution to achieve the
Company’s objectives and targets.
40. Monitoring the performance of the sales teams or branches within the region and re-allocate
resources to improve overall results.
41. Developing and implementing price schemes for all products and services based on market and
competitor’s analysis, which should increase the sales and Profitability of the company.
Must have Abilities:
1. Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales/Marketing and familiar
with the requirements of infrastructure, water supply, sewage and turnkey construction projects.
2. Capability to work independently and complete multiple assigned tasks accurately, on time with
minimal supervision.
3. Sound understanding of valve concepts and ability to apply and sell a solution to the client.
4. Possessing strong oral and written communication including formal presentation skills.
5. Strong selling and sales aptitude
6. Fluency in spoken and written English and& excellent communication and presentation skills
7. Able to identify key players in organizations and to possess the ability to convert business issues into solutions.
8. Efficient, hardworking and capable of working with flexible time frames.
9. Good personality and relations with fellow colleagues.
10. An ability to deal with multiple tasks.
11. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
12. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written
responses to emails and when submitting reports.
13. Knowledge of the sewerage and water supply or infrastructure of Bahrain is preferred.
14. Expert in procurement methodology and cost management strategies.
15. Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
16. Ability to gain customer confidence in the shortest span of time and build strong customer
relationships.
17. Possessing strong marketing, presentation and negotiation skills.
