Site Supervisor

Purpose of Position:
Supervises Mechanical/Refrigeration artisan, semi-skilled, assistants and general Workers (trades helpers) in the repair, maintenance, and installation of mechanical/refrigeration systems
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
1.
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the mechanical trade.
2.
Must be a qualified mechanical tradesman & be able to read approved for construction drawings
3.
Knowledge of applicable mechanical and refrigeration codes, standards, and regulations.
4.
Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
5.
Knowledge of mechanical applications for industrial refrigeration systems.
6.
Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of industrial refrigeration system equipment and components.
7.
Skill in estimating time and material requirements of assigned work projects.
8.
Skill in applying supervisory techniques.
9.
Ability to effectively communicate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Comply to all Special Safety Instructions issued by Grade Refrigeration UAE and or Grade Contracting KSA
2.
Comply to all Company Policies, Standard Procedures and Standard Operational Procedures of Grade Refrigeration UAE and or Grade Contracting KS
3.
Comply to all Client and Legislation Requirements
DUTIES
1.
Designing and implementing work schedules for the mechanical staff.
2.
Providing motivation and assistance when necessary.
3.
Inspecting and assessing the work done by the mechanical staff.
4.
Reading and interpreting design drawings to ensure the proper installation of industrial refrigeration systems.
5.
Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
6.
Repairing and maintaining equipment.
7.
Overseeing the maintenance of the refrigeration equipment on-site.
8.
Ensuring the work is completed in time on schedule and to codes, design and standards.
9.
Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
10.
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
11.
In depth knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

QUALITY / SYSTEMS CONTROL
1.
Conduct in-coming, in-process and final inspection and testing for on-site activities in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans and Checklists, Safe Work Method Statements and the results are recorded.
2.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with current codes, standards, operation & maintenance manuals, specifications, drawings, etc
3.
Ensure that all processes are carried out by qualified tradesmen in accordance with approved procedures, Work Cover and Safe Work Method Statements
EXPOSURE
1.
While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, odours, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic substances, excessive noise, traffic, heat and dampness/humidity. While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to possible bodily injury from electrical shock, falling from exposed places and moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools, and machinery.

Have the ability to see, hear, speak, walk, twist, bend crawl, reach, climb ladders and stairs, work in positions and spaces that may be awkward or difficult to access, use hands and fingers, sit and use computer and related hardware, and lift up to 25 kg
