Room Maintenace

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify needed repairs
Repair or replace damaged furniture, fixtures, and appliances in guest rooms and public areas
Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the hotel
Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, including after-hours emergencies
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hotel grounds and exterior features such as swimming pools and parking lots
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and supplies used, and prepare reports as needed
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials
Participate in regular training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry standards and equipment advancements.
Experience and Education Requirements
To work as a Hotel Maintenance Technician in the Hospitality industry, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent. Some employers may prefer candidates with vocational or technical training in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems. It's also helpful to have experience in maintenance or repair work, either through previous jobs or personal projects. As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, you'll need to be skilled at diagnosing and fixing a variety of mechanical and electrical problems, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer service mindset are also essential to provide good service to hotel guests.
