Structural Engineer - Civil (Solar Projects)

Job Overview:

Almoayyed Solar is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. The Structural Engineer will play a critical role in designing and optimizing solar mounting structures and civil foundations for solar energy projects. This position requires a deep understanding of structural design principles, with a focus on solar-specific requirements, site conditions, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop structural systems for solar mounting, including ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems.

• Engineer and optimize civil foundations for solar energy installations, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

• Conduct site assessments and structural analysis to ensure the stability, safety, and efficiency of solar mounting structures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and installation teams, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Create detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, for solar mounting structures and foundations.

• Review and approve designs from external consultants or contractors for solar mounting and foundations.

• Support the construction team during the installation phase, resolving any on-site structural issues or challenges.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, ASCE, etc.).

• Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in structural engineering and solar technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on solar energy projects preferred.

• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, etc.).

• Knowledge of solar energy systems and experience with solar mounting structure design.

• Familiarity with local and international codes and standards for civil and structural engineering.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
